Affiliate disclosure
Short version: some clinics pay us if you sign up through our link. Scores remain independent; active partners are listed first at equal displayed scores.
Scores are based on evidence. At equal displayed scores, active affiliate partners are listed first. Every clinic has a distinct, consecutive rank.
Where it stands right now
26 of the 51 clinics we rank are an affiliate partner.
What a commission changes
Two things. First, when two clinics are comparably ranked, which one a promoted button points at. That is a commercial choice and it is labelled as one on the page where it happens.
Second, the Partner offerblock. On the review page of a clinic we have no affiliate relationship with, a block labelled “Partner offer: commercial placement” appears after that page has answered its own question, never before or inside the answer. It shows up to two partner clinics. To be eligible a partner must have an active programme, a price we have verified, and a public price that matches what our link shows; where a partner does not serve every state, its card lists the states it excludes. Since 24 October 2026 an FDA warning letter no longer keeps a partner out of this block or any other placement: the letter stays on the partner's own review, with its source, and it still caps the partner's score. A few review pages held unchanged until 30 October 2026 still leave such partners out. Among eligible partners it is ordered by what we expect it to earn us per click: from our own sales and clicks where we have them, otherwise from the affiliate network's reported earnings per click. Partners with neither figure come after those with one, ordered by the commission each pays per sale. It is never part of our ranking or our price comparisons, and the editorial blocks on the same page keep their own order.
The same Partner offer block appears after each of our guides, after the guide itself and never above or inside it. There it shows up to three partner clinics, with the same eligibility rules and the same order. When a guide is about one of those clinics, that clinic is left out of the block on that guide and the next eligible partner takes its place. The block does not change what the guide says.
What it does not change
- Any score on any criterion. Commission is not an input to the rubric. See how we score.
- Scores determine the ranking; at equal displayed scores, active affiliate partners are listed first.
- Whether a problem gets published. A paying partner's regulatory record, contradictory pricing or missing terms are reported the same as anyone's.
- Whether a non-paying clinic can rank first. It can, and where it does we say we earn nothing from it.
How links are marked
Affiliate links carry rel="sponsored nofollow" and a visible label. Links to clinics that do not pay us are labelled too, saying so explicitly. The absence of a commission is information as well.
What you pay
Nothing extra. A commission is paid by the clinic out of its own margin; it does not add to your price, and we have never negotiated a discount code in exchange for placement.
